In the early years of my homeschooling journey, I assumed I would manage every aspect of my daughters’ education on my own. Over time, however, I came to recognize the value of seeking additional support. While I was fully capable of guiding my daughters academically, the demands of being a single mother, working part-time, and running my own business made it clear that supplemental educational support and accountability were essential. Hiring outside help for their education turned out to be one of the best decisions I made.

Many parents discover that their children need more academic support than they can consistently provide during the week. Others find that their students simply thrive with the guidance of an outside tutor. That’s where I come in. I work with students who need extra support, encouragement, or structure to strengthen their academic skills and confidence.

Since founding jb Tutors, LLC in 2021, working one-on-one with students has become the most fulfilling chapter of my teaching career. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to build the confidence and skills they need to succeed independently.
